About Leidy's Premium Meats +-

Leidy’s is a 125-year-old independent pork company still located on the family farm in Pennsylvania where Jacob Leidy was deeded the original land grant by William Penn in 1753. It’s a quaint, picturesque little corner of the world known to locals as “Leidytown”; the road and local church here still bear the Leidy name. The Leidy family sold fresh produce during the summers and smoke-cured pork during the winters here for generations, even before Milton Leidy and son Olin began selling their craft pork products in far-off Philadelphia in 1893. As the Leidy family local produce and handcrafted pork business gained fame and flourished, so did the surrounding countryside.

For over a century, and through nine generations, working with family farms and raising animals responsibly was a way of life. And today, it’s still the Leidy’s way. All of our premium pork comes only from animals raised on family farms, where they are fed a clean, nutritious, healthy diet. Just one of the reasons why Leidy’s pork is the finest, juiciest, most flavorful pork available. It’s a difference you can see and taste. We’ve continued to grow and prosper with numerous facility updates to accommodate expansion, new opportunities, and the changing tastes and needs of our customers. But Jacob Leidy’s obsessive attention to detail, unwavering quality standards, and pride in craftsmanship are still what drives us.

It’s why we’re still committed to setting the standard for excellence from the uncompromising quality of our natural hardwood smoked products and hand-crafted artisanal lines, to the rich satisfying flavor of our fresh pork and traditional family offerings. At Leidy’s, tradition and quality are our main ingredients, ensuring nothing but the best for you and your family.
